Hey all, I'm brand new to The Ebon Hold and have been reading through a few posts to learn more and thought this seems like a really friendly place.

I'm lvl 77 right now...Unholy DPS.  My main is an 80 resto/bear druid.  I've never played a melee dps class before and never done any tanking at all as a plate-wearer, so this is definitely a crazy new experience for me.  I figured I'd register and introduce myself while I'm here trying to figure this class out better...  =)

If you want to tank, I'd suggest picking up a tank build, and level out in frost presence... by now the dps should be going fine, just search around to learn the best rotations for your talent spec.

Not entirely sure I want to tank on this toon...at least not yet.  My druid is a tank and healer and sometimes I think it would be nice to just dps without having to worry about throwing heals around or making sure I'm holding aggro...I have a feeling, though, that since our guild is short on tanks that I'll be "gently nudged" in that direction...have to wait and see.  The idea of plate tanking is a little intimidating to me.

For my druid, all I had to worry about was mitigation and fluffy stam.  This balance of threat stats + making sure I'm Def Capped is probably going to drive me batty...plus being hit/exp capped with enough stam to take a solid punch =\  It seems like so many stats to worry about.

eek...

<3 your forum so far though.  I'm learning a LOT!

Oh, and I'm aware that my spec probably sucks.  I ended up messing it up and being too lazy to fix it right away.  I figured since I'm respeccing at 80...no point in worrying about it now *shrug*
