Carbonite
dk.info runes (the best rune watch addon, imo)

I am going to have to try dk.info runes.  I like that look.  I am trying to figure out how to scale up the wRunes I am using now.  The position is nice, don't like the size.

Carbonite looks nice.  I may try that on one of my other characters.  Have to say, however, I am not paying for an addon...  Their free version will have to do.

The free version of Carbonite is definitely worth the install. I'll likely be pulling it once I hit 80 on this character, but while levelling, it makes the process so much more friendly.

face smasher

Don't know about everyone else here, but I'd reccomend not getting this addon, yes, it seems nice and all, but I'd much rather learn what do do on my own. If you learn your rotations and what to hit at what time it'll go smoother and faster than if you have to follow the instructions of an addon. Face smasher reminds me a lot of the old decursive and a few healbot addons, addons I saw people using extensivly while raiding pre-bc. They were nice, they were convinient, but than Blizzard banned addons taht autmated spell use and you saw who knew how to play their class and who didn't. Addons like this are a crutch and should never be used if it can be avoided.

it reminds me when my debuffs are off or horn isnt up most rotations are simpel but when im beating some thing that has a million debuffs life isnt always easy

I've been using IceHUD. It has a great Health/Runic Power display on the left and right of your toon, plus it displays your runes (with cooldown timers) just below you. It makes it real easy to keep track of your runic dumps and rune cooldowns without having to shift focus off your target. I'm a minimalist with my addons. I used a ton back in the MC days, and can't stand it anymore. Now I just run IceHUD, Omen, Recount, and DBM.

I haven't played in a few weeks and I'm not at home so I'll try and go from memory as to which addons I use.

I've actually cut down quite a bit with my use of "UI changing" addons so it's now looking more like a "stock UI" than anything else. I tend to use many addons that I consider to be of "comfort-of-life".

I've included the name of the addon, the link to the URL where I downloaded them from, and a brief reasoning as to why I use them.

Here are the addons that are a "must" for me:

DeathKnight.Info Runes
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/dkirunes.aspx

I only use the Disease bars so I can track my diseases on the target.  Another nice feature I find is the fact that it tracks pestilence as well.

ClassTimer
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/classtimer.aspx

I use this addon to track other things like Horn of Winter, Bone Shield.  It can be configured for just about anything.

Recount
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/recount.aspx

Excellent addon to track where your damage is coming from and perhaps help you to improve upon maximizing your dps.

OmniCC
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/omni-cc.aspx

A nice little addon that puts a countdown timer in your spellbox on your action bar to let you know when it's available again for use.

Grid
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/grid.aspx

Addon that replaces your normal raid frames.  I like it because it's rather compact and customizable.

Deadly Boss Mods
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/deadly-boss-mods.aspx

I like to use this because particular one because it's also usable in battlegrounds.

Proculas
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/proculas.aspx

This is an addon I've only became aware of about a month ago. It allows me to see what has proc'd so I can maximize my use of gargoyle.  It's very customizable and I enjoy it tremendously.

Now here are the addons that I use to make my gaming experience a little easier but can live without:

EquipCompare
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4392

Basically the title says it all.  You can compare an item that you don't have equipped with the one you currently have equipped from the same slot.

Postal
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/postal.aspx

This is an addon that's good it you have to mass-mail items or receive alot of mail.

Auctinator
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/auctionator.aspx

I use to use auctioneer but have switched to this one simply because I think it uses less memory and it does what I need it to do.  (Basically mass auction items)

Cellular
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/cellular.aspx

I like this because my incoming whispers pop up in another messenger-type window.

Addon Control Panel
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/acp.aspx

I've saved the best for last.  This addon is one of my favourites as I can pick and choose which addon I want to use while in game and then just reload my UI instead of having to log out, check/uncheck the addons and log back in.  Makes my gaming experience so much better and convenient.  My hat goes off to the author of this addon.

So those are the basic addons I use on a daily basis.  Depending on what I'm doing: raiding, bgs, questing, will determine how many and which ones I'm using at any given time.

With respect to Rune Strike.  I actually use a macro for all my strikes and have Rune Strike incorporated into it.  That way...it is always being used when it's available.

ie:
/startattack
#showtooltip Death Strike
/cast Rune Strike
/cast Death Strike

You can find more at this URL:

Hope this information is useful.
